Local Intelligence Audit · Digital Marketing Competitor Analysis

Map the competition. Plan the move.

Before any engagement begins, we map your competitors across organic and paid, audit your entity weaknesses, project a realistic timeline. A one-time engagement. Yours to keep whether or not you engage us.

The Stance

The map comes first.

We don't take engagements blind. The Local Intelligence is the gate — a paid, one-time engagement that produces the competitive intelligence, the audit findings, the timeline. Yours to keep, whether or not you engage us. The reason is simple: an engagement built on guesses fails. An engagement built on the audit doesn't.

Most agencies skip this. They sell you the engagement on a sales call, run a generic audit afterward, and discover the real problems three months in. By then, you've paid for work that wasn't aligned with the actual condition.

That's how engagements stall.

We map first. The audit, the geo-grid scan, the competitor map, the timeline — all delivered before any work starts. You see exactly what the engagement would do, why it would do it, and what the realistic outcome looks like.

That's how takeovers actually land.

What's Delivered

The audit, then the plan.

The Local Intelligence splits into two halves — organic and paid. Each half delivers an audit. The audit is the raw data and the gaps — yours forever, whether you engage us or not. The tactical plan is the first step of onboarding, delivered at kickoff when the engagement begins.

How Local Intelligence Runs

Six phases. Two to four weeks.

Local Intelligence runs the same six phases regardless of vertical or location count. Multi-location and franchise engagements scale with volume but follow the same sequence.

Phase 01

Intake & Access

Kickoff call, account access confirmation, scope alignment, top-5 competitor list, top-20 target keyword list. Captured in writing.

Phase 02

Geo-Grid Baseline Scan

Full service-area visibility scan — map-pack and organic positions captured for the top keywords, plus the same scan against the top 5 competitors.

Phase 03

100-Point Entity Audit

Your GBP, website, citations, schema, and entity graph — audited against the 100-point checklist, scored, and documented.

Phase 04

Competitor Authority Mapping

Citation footprint, review velocity, link profile, content depth — for the top 5 competitors. The competitive intelligence document.

Phase 05

Timeline & Tactical Plan

Modeling, prioritization, sequencing, and the tactical roadmap. Phase-by-phase plan with the rationale for each move.

Phase 06

Intelligence Delivery

90-minute delivery call with the four documents walked through, plus the recommendation — engage, wait, or work with someone else. Documents handed over.

Common Questions

What you're probably asking.

No. The audit is yours to keep — competitive map, audit findings, timeline, and tactical plan. You can take it to another agency, run it in-house, or shelve it. We require Local Intelligence before any engagement we run, because we don't engage blind.

Pricing is scoped to the engagement — single-location vs multi-location, market complexity, vertical, and the depth of audit required. We quote it after a 30-minute strategy call. The fee is one-time and includes the full four-deliverable bundle.

2–4 weeks from kickoff to delivery on a standard single-location engagement. Multi-location and franchise engagements scale with the location count. The schedule is committed at kickoff.

Because the work is real. A free "audit" from most agencies is a sales tool — a list of generic findings designed to scare you into signing. Each Local Intelligence engagement is 30–80 hours of analyst work, geo-grid scans, and modeling. We charge for it because it's worth charging for — and because it filters out the businesses we shouldn't be working with.

Then we tell you. Some businesses aren't ready (foundation problems, unstable revenue, unwilling to fix obvious issues). Some markets aren't competitive enough to need us. Some operators aren't a culture fit. The audit includes our recommendation — engage, wait, or work with someone else.

Yes. Pre-expansion Local Intelligence are part of how multi-location and franchise brands evaluate new market entries. We can scope the competitive landscape, project entry timeline, and identify the foundation moves before you commit to opening.

Yes. The geo-grid is part of every Local Intelligence engagement. We deliver the actual grid file, the scoring documentation, and the comparative grids for your top competitors. Yours forever — re-scan it any time to track movement.

Yes. We run Local Intelligence for brands that want the competitive intelligence — pre-sale due diligence, board reporting, M&A target evaluation, agency RFP scoping. The deliverable is the same; the framing of the recommendation shifts to the decision context.

Engagement Options

Three engagements. Every one begins here.

The Local Intelligence is required before any of the engagements below. After delivery, you choose the engagement — or you don't, and the audit stays yours.
